The Decorative Imaging team recently returned from three successful home shows in three states where DecoWood™, our beautiful and durable woodgrain finish on aluminium, was on display.
Visitors to the Gold Coast Home and Design Show, the Sydney Home Show and the Melbourne Home Ideas Show were able to see and touch the finish on various products such as Steel-Line Garage Doors, DecoSlats and Breezeway louvre windows and shutters.
Many visitors were impressed with the DecoWood range because they could have the appearance of cedar and the strength of aluminium or steel in their homes without ever needing to paint or stain.

DecoWood Timber Look features in terrace renovations at Caringbah Inn
Caringbah Inn recently featured DecoWood™ woodgrain finish on aluminium in their terrace renovations, demonstrating how well DecoWood™ works with existing buildings.
Realize Architects and Southern Cross Constructions chose DecoWood™ for slats used around the Inn's terrace and loading dock to maintain consistancy with existing timber slats. With DecoWood™ they were able to achieve the beautiful look and natural feel of timber to match the rest of the terrace with no maintenance.
The slats were made up into pre-assembled pannels for quick and efficient installation. The project demonstrates how versatile and effective DecoWood™ can be in a range of applications.

Bing Lee-ders in Head Office design using DecoWood™
DecoWood™ woodgrain finish on aluminium was used in many innovative and creative ways on the new Bing Lee Head Office on Woodville Road, Fairfield. The design featured a custom DecoWood™ finish on the curved ceiling at the office entrance, battons under the eves, and on screens and seating for the Chairman’s
lifestyle terrace.
The design requirements for the feature were three-fold. The ceiling at the main entrance had to be curved, with a soft timber look that would last. The solution was DecoWood™ as it boasts the qualities of aluminium (light, flexible, easy to install and durable), as well as being maintenance-free and naturally beautiful.
The project demonstrates how versatile and effective DecoWood™ can be in its applications. Decorative Imaging worked with the Architect to develop the custom-made 'curly birch' effect that the project required, with stunning results.
