DecoSlat profiles and extruded accessories are manufactured in 6.5 metre lengths, however due to the process of applying the beautiful timber-look (or other) finish, the usable length is 6.47m. Cutting is available for an additional surcharge.

Profiles

The standard DecoSlat profile is a 65x16mm Rectangular Hollow Section, but other variations of this size is available;

DecoSlat Finishes & Colours

DecoSlat utilises DECO's advanced sublimation photo imaging technology to offer a range of durable and natural timber-look finishes on our aluminium slats.

DecoWood is our Super Durable powder coat timber-look finish that is available in a range of colours with colour matching also available to suit your project. The finish is marine grade, UV resistant and complies to Qualicoat and Australian Standard 3715.

Typical Installation Methods

DecoSlat has multiple uses and has been designed to allow for a range of installation techniques.
The DecoSlat system is designed for DIY installation, and is easy enough even for beginners. DecoSlat can be used for fences, gates and privacy screens.

Slats can be installed with no spacing between slats or any spacing according to personal preference or privacy requirements set by local government. Supports can be spaced up to 1.8 metres apart.

Building Standards & Compliance

DecoSlat has been designed to meet Australia's stringent building standards. The range has been tested to and passed the following standards:

AS1530.1 - Methods for fire tests on building materials, components and structures - Combustibility test for materials. (CSIRO)

AS/NZS1530.3 - Methods for fire tests on building materials, components and structures - Simultaneous determination of ignitability, flame propagation, heat release and smoke release. (CSIRO)

AS3837 - Method of test for heat and smoke release rates for materials and products using an oxygen consumption calorimeter. (CSIRO)

NCC 2015 - Volume 1 - Clause C.1.12 - Combustibility of Materials (No Amendment in NCC 2016). (CSIRO)

AS3715 - Performance testing for thermoset powder coatings applied to aluminium intended for exterior architectural applications. (CSIRO)
