When Campbelltown Hospital needed to upgrade their world-class helicopter pad, they needed efficient services to ensure their helipad facilities were upgraded quickly and on schedule with no reworks or delays. The helicopter pad is crucial for sending and receiving critically ill patients, and any delays to the upgrade could affect the hospital's ability to ensure inbound patients were received and treated in time.
Upgrading the helicopter pad required stripping the steel balustrades, recoating and finally reinstalling them. The hospital wanted to ensure the finish used had a 20-year guarantee, to prevent deterioration and reduce the risk that the balustrades would need recoating regularly, to avoid holding up vital patient treatment.
DECO's Industrial team of expert powder coaters were on hand to get the job done. After giving the components a Class 3 blast, DECO Industrial's world-class powder coating line was used to coat the balustrades in a durable Dulux Duratec powder coat finish in Eternity Bronze. Dulux's premium Duratec range was the ideal powder to use in this application, as it offers a 10-year steel corrosion warranty, 20-year steel colour warranty and is suitable for outdoor applications.
DECO's Industrial team completed the job within the specified time, allowing the hospital helipad to return to its busy schedule as soon as possible.
