This vibrant retail centre in Sydney's North West offers a 'homemaker and lifestyle' destination for the region's growing population.
The 40,000 square metre site includes a range of popular retail outlets which surrounds a central architecturally-designed dining precinct. DECO's timber-look DecoWood was chosen to create a contemporary yet calming space in the dining precinct; a welcomed contrast against the vibrant colours of the adjacent retail stores.
Wrapped in two different sized DecoBatten aluminium battens - 46 x 25mm and 100 x 50mm - the entire building façade offers a natural DecoWood Casuarina finish. The larger battens were used to create a stylish pergola feature for an outside undercover dining area, whilst the 46 x 25 mm battens were applied directly to the façade as well as used for the alfresco ceilings surrounding the building for a seamless building exterior.
Given the height of the façade and pergola, DecoBatten offered a light-weight option that allowed for sections to be constructed on the ground and lifted into place for a quick and easy installation process. The harsh location of the dining precinct building also meant a durable and low maintenance finish was required to avoid ongoing painting or staining - something DecoWood could offer given its UV and graffiti resistant powder coating finish.
The outcome? A contemporary space that offers shoppers a welcomed retreat from the surrounding retail precincts during their shopping expeditions.
