BP and David Jones have recently joined forces and collaborated to open their first store together in Bayside, Melbourne. The new petrol station concept aims to deliver high quality and innovative food options that shape the way Australian consumers shop.
The new station offers a range of quality meals, salads, sandwiches, pastries, snacks and sweets that require quick preparation or instant consumption. Some meals include Green Curry Chicken, Roast Chicken as well as a choice of vegan/plant-based meals. The new concept is a great initiative for those busy and time poor consumers who still want to cook but with convenience.
Modus Projects were responsible for the design and fit-out of the new BP & David Jones Bayside Store. The design utilises elements from both brands to bring a new and unique offering.
50x50 ‘Quick Click’ DecoBattens were specified to create a welcoming entrance for customers, as well as achieving the appearance of a high-end convenience store
The ‘Smoked Ash’ DecoWood finished battens are featured above the entrance of the store, creating a soft, elegant and warm presence. DecoWood was also preferred over timber due to its low maintenance requirements and durability.
DecoWood was an excellent choice for this project as it is highly durable against exhaust fumes, brake dust and sun exposure. DecoWood is 50% more durable than standard powder coating and is available in 30+ timber-look finishes
