DECO Australia was proud to host the Australian Industry & Defence Network (AIDN)'s NSW February defence event on 16 February 2023.  AIDN is a defence industry association committed to helping  Australian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) make connections with the defence industry. With sovereign industry capability a priority for Australian defence, defence prime contractors and suppliers are seeking Australian businesses to supply equipment and services for mission critical projects. DECO, in combination with AIDN, promoted the wealth of capabilities, from fabrication to finishing, available from local businesses in the South West Sydney area.

DECO took AIDN members on a tour of its facility, highlighting its capabilities, as well as presenting on its range of finishes and ability to partner with other local businesses to form a one-stop local supply chain, taking defence contractors from the design of a component through to fabrication, finishing and even quality testing. DECO's partner, local fabricator Sevaan Group, also presented on its extensive machining and fabrication capabilities, and Southern Strength, a local networking association for South West Sydney manufacturers, highlighted its ability to bring local businesses together to form cohesive, supportive supply networks.

The DECO/AIDN event was an excellent opportunity for defence suppliers from all points in the supply chain to connect and learn more about the partnership opportunities available in the local area.
