DECO Australia were honoured to have a visit from NSW Opposition Leader Chris Minns, who attended our manufacturing facility to discuss how quality manufacturing can be provided locally, while boosting the local economy and job market. Opposition Leader Minns toured DECO's facility and was accompanied by Shadow Minister for Finance, Industry and Trade, Anoulack Chanthivong.
This was a great opportunity for the Opposition representatives to discover the high quality and benefits of Australian manufacturers. Both Mr Minns and Mr Chanthivong expressed the importance of quality manufacturing that could stimulate job growth, both in metro and regional NSW. Mr Minns expressed that while many large government projects featured services procured overseas, local Australian manufacturers should not be overlooked, and that investing in the local economy would provide positive outcomes for all involved.
The Opposition Leader praised DECO for its quality and innovative facility, as well as the company's ability to provide young Australians with an opportunity to step into the manufacturing industry.
"It's exactly the kind of economy that we want to promote and see more of in this fast growing part of NSW," said Mr Minns. "...We believe we can be world leaders when it comes to the sort of goods that are being manufactured on a site like this."
DECO Australia are a passionate proponent of local manufacturing and sovereign industry capability.
