Renowned for its elegance and sophistication, clothing brand Kookai is at the forefront of good design. So, when it came to their new Pacific Fair shop front on Queensland’s sunny Gold Coast, the retail store had to reflect the brand’s classic style.  

Designed by AlexanderCavill Architects, the two-level building mixes a cool beach vibe with an ultimate modern design thanks to the floor to ceiling fixed louvres. The louvres by Louvreclad are finished in DecoWood’s naturally light-coloured Curly Birch from DecoWood’s Australian Native range, and perfectly reflects Queensland’s coastal lifestyle while providing a contemporary design statement.

DecoWood’s Qualicoat 2 marine grade and UV resistant powder coating make it an ideal finishing for external applications in coastal regions such as the Gold Coast, and the low-maintenance nature of the product means it is perfect for high-traffic retail applications.
