This high-profile retail and commercial centre in Lake Macquarie is the largest development this region has seen since the expansion of Charlestown Square in 2010. The 30,000 square metre site includes a range of popular retail outlets such as Anaconda, Spotlight, Bunnings and popular family fast food restaurants.

DECO's timber-look battens were chosen to bring to life the striking façade envisioned for the new Anaconda store. The DecoWood® finished battens were installed vertically to create an eye-catching statement against the vibrant orange and blue façade panels.

Wrapped in 100x50mm QuickClick aluminium battens, the building façade features a warm woodgrain finish from the popular DecoWood® Exotic Timber Species - Natural Golden Oak.

Given the height of the building, DecoBatten™'s QuickClick battens offered a light-weight option that allowed for a quick and easy installation process with no visible fixings. The unique DecoBatten™ system allowed installers to fix the batten base directly to the surface without the need for supporting frames or mounts and then simply click the batten cover into place over the base.

The coastal location of the shopping precinct also meant a durable and marine grade finish was required to withstand salt spray from the ocean and avoid ongoing replacement and maintenance - something DecoWood® could offer given its Super Durable powder coating finish.

The outcome? A low-maintenance, high quality shop front that offers the public a welcoming shopping experience.
