With its clean architectural lines, unadorned aesthetics and cubist-inspired shape, this contemporary custom home showcases a stunning design that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

The owners of this beautiful family home in Noosa Heads envisioned lots of timber features in their design - a popular choice on the Sunshine Coast. However, its proximity to the ocean meant the project required building materials that could withstand the sea salt spray and harsh UV rays.

To achieve a natural timber look with a super durable finish, DecoBatten finished in DecoWood "Smoked Ash" was selected for all external battens featured around the home. Chosen not only for its beautiful woodgrain appearance and marine grade powder coating, the solid aluminium battens also provided a low maintenance solution that require no painting, staining, or oiling.

Among the home's many luxury features is the visually striking vertical DecoBatten BBQ station, located on the rooftop of the home. Multiple sized battens including DECO's new 25x50mm designer series were used around the BBQ station to create a unique effect. The clients opted to use DecoBatten in this space as it is a non-combustible and fire safe product.

Around the pool cabana, a timber-look aluminium deck was installed in the same colour but with a slip resistant finish. Replicating the form, feel and appearance of a natural timber deck, DecoDeck offered an effortless decking solution that is chlorine resistant and safe for use around pools and spas.
