There is plenty to love about Dream Home 5 by designers Oak and Orange - the latest project in their custom home design series. Situated on half an acre in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, this Modern Aussie Resort showcases how different textures and materials can be used to achieve a modern and sophisticated design that will stand the test of time.

"Modern Aussie Resort" is a coastal inspired custom-designed family home, that features all the elements of a contemporary resort design: U-shape floor plan, a flat roof, clean architectural lines and open living spaces with endless views of the centrally-featured pool and surrounding mountains.

The expansive alfresco and pool area is an entertainer's dream, featuring multiple seating areas and an integrated BBQ complete with a built-in bar fridge. DECO's new 25x25mm designer series QuickClick™ battens were used around the BBQ to create an eye-catching statement piece. Sarah from Oak and Orange opted to use DecoBatten™ as the two-piece system offered a quick and seamless installation with minimal wastage. The slimline battens were easily clicked into place over the secured batten base within a couple of hours.

DecoWood's Super DurableTM Natural Casuarina finish provided Oak and Orange with their desired woodgrain appearance. It also offered the benefits of a marine grade and UV resistant powder coating, perfect for use in a pool area. In addition to this, the solid aluminium battens are a low maintenance solution that require no painting, staining, or oiling - perfect for that carefree, resort-style living.
