Project Brief: Anodised coating of 10 – 15 microns for aluminium galley oven and food service trays

Industry: Aviation>

Organisations: QANTAS and Byron Aviation

Finish: Anodising

Byron Aviation have been designing, manufacturing, maintaining and refurbishing aircraft furnishings, ground support equipment and composite structures for decades. When they were contracted by Qantas to produce aluminium trays for the galley ovens and food service trolleys in Qantas aircraft, they knew they needed a quality and durable finish from a reliable finishing and protective coating provider. Time was also of the essence, and they required a large volume of trays to be anodised as quickly as possible.
Our Industrial team (formerly Impreglon Australia) thoroughly researched and investigated this job before getting to work, ensuring the finishes were completed to Qantas's exact specifications, including the colour requirements of black and clear anodising for oven trays and gold and red anodising for trays used in the launch of Qantas's new aircraft and other promotions. Although this was a very difficult, very specific job, our team came through with flying colours, producing attractive, protective coatings of the highest calibre.
