Dezcon are dedicated to creating stunning personalised spaces for their clients to live in - and this custom luxury home in Sans Souci, NSW was no exception. Capitalising on breathtaking contemporary trends, the industrial-chic combination of concrete and timber has created a superb contrast of materials to create a standout façade.

Hugging the bottom half of the home, DecoBatten® provides the welcoming warmth of timber to the home's entry way and garage door. Made from lightweight aluminium with a unique two-piece QuickClick™ fixing system, the battens can easily attach to any substrate, including garage door systems for a functional, attractive door design. The designers have created a beautiful, seamless look by extending DecoBatten across the façade, disguising the garage door and creating a show-stopping design.

Dezcon saw DecoBatten® as the perfect choice for the project, both for its ease of use and its on-trend design. Having specified DecoBatten® before, they were eager to let its natural charm and effortless style bring this project to life.

Installers Top Garage Doors used the 46 x 25mm DecoBatten® series to create a flush mount panel lift garage door. This lightweight garage door can be easily opened and closed, and blends beautifully into the façade, which carries the batten theme across the front of the house and over to the front entry door.

The popular DecoWood® Coastal Spotted Gum timber finish adds a softness and warmth to the façade, which balances perfectly with the cooler tones of the concrete upper storey and white arch around the entrance hall. Complementing the coastal surroundings, the finish is also low maintenance and marine grade, protecting against the salt spray and moisture of the Sans Souci area.

The result is a modern classic — an architectural masterpiece which blends style and contrasting materials for an unforgettable design.
