Australia Wide

Designer: Mima Design

Product: DecoBatten and DecoClad

Colour: DecoWood ‘American Oak'

The Foodary, a new petrol station concept by Caltex, has specified DecoWood posts, battens and cladding as a feature.

Refurbishing the concept of the petrol station entirely, The Foodary offers barista coffee, fresh food, parcel pick up and even a laundry service and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are currently four pilot stores in three states: Concord (NSW), Padstow (NSW), South Yarra (VIC) and Jandakot (WA), all featuring DecoWood products in the popular 'Amercan Oak' finish.

The look and feel designers had envisioned for The Foodary was achieved by DECO's range of timber-look products. The woodgrain finish features profoundly throughout the stores, creating a softer, warm, and welcoming appearance. DecoWood was also preferred over timber due to its durability and low maintenance requirements.

Two of the stores are located on some of Australia's busiest thoroughfares - Parramatta Road in Sydney and Punt Road in Melbourne. While timber would have been vulnerable to discolouration from exhaust fumes, brake dust and sun exposure, DECO's timber-look aluminium products remain as new for many years without the need for painting or staining.

DecoWood is 50% more durable than standard powder coating, and comes in 30+ colours and textures.
