DECO offers three different coating processes for the application of thermoplastic coatings. The process used for your product will depend on size specifications and the type of plastic used in the protective coating. Before being coated in any of the following processes, the metal components must be pretreated using either a chemical process, special primers or abrasive blasting.
DECO offers Plascoat PPA 571 as a thermoplastic coating option. This powder is a performance polymer alloy coating specially designed to provide a tough and long-lasting coating for galvanised steel mild steel and aluminium. It is halogen free and has a low toxicity index, as it produces low levels of smoky combustion fumes when burnt.
This type of thermoplastic coating is excellent for exterior applications such as fencing, as it performs well against salt spray, extreme weather conditions, graffiti and airborne pollutants. It is also impact resistant and does not crack under stress.
All our products here at DECO Industrial are tested in our onsite Quality Testing lab, to ensure they comply with Australian regulations and are highly durable.
DECO Industrial have attained AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 accreditation. This standard pertains to the provision of metal finishing services, including powder coatings, and ensures we maintain Australian regulations while also meeting stakeholder and customer needs.
